Each year at the end of July, around 20 youth and 5 adults travel to the Park Rapids area to help people who are in need.  They gather with other youth from around the state and disperse into teams.  The youth work on service projects such as painting, building, repairing, cleaning – whatever the need may be.  It is much more than “hands on” labor.  Relationships are made with the homeowners and each other through personal sharing, devotions, and worship.  The unconditional love of God shines forth through these young Christians.

    

This is an ecumenical ministry of the church organized to welcome International and North American seafarers to the Duluth-Superior port and to the services of our center and our communities.  Though seafarers may be far from their congregations, homes and families, they have in us brothers and sisters, trustworthy hosts, and a home away from home. This ministry boards each international ship and offers to the captain and crew services such as shore transportation, low-cost telephone cards, internet, fellowship at our center, prayer and worship opportunities.
